Read the post title, because I don't feel like repeating it.
It's actually rather odd, (now that I come to think about it) that I've never told you this before, since me being Finnish is really quite a big deal to me.
I am actually half Finnish. My father is allll Finnish and a little bit Swedish and mum's ancestory lies in the UK; mostly in Britain & Scotland.
So.
About Finland.
First thing: In Finland, they don't call their country Finland. In Finnish it's called Suomi.
You don't have to try to pronounce it.
For those of you that don't know where Finland is, it's here:
It's beside Sweden, sort of; And it's roughly shaped like a maraca..... or a spoon.
This is a Finnish sauna. Saunas are a huge part of Finnish culture.
Real Finnish saunas can heat up to at least 130-ish degrees Celsius.
You may see puny infered saunas at Canadian Tire or the Home Depot but those. are. not. saunas.
They are IMPOSTERSAUNAS.
Aherm.
So anyway, I do have a sauna; at my house and at my cottage.
If you would like to know how to pronounce it properly, then look no further.
Finns pronounce it;
SOW-na.
yes.
NOT;
SAHHHHH-NAHHHHH
nononononono.
They are real.
And they live in Finland.
While we're on the topic;
Santa.
He is not real.
But he does live in Finland.
Here ends my terribly slapped-together post about Finland.
Hope you liked it.
If you didn't, its probably because you're Swedish.
Inside joke. Don't ask.
Well actually, I wouldn't mind you asking, because that would mean you'd be commenting.
But nevertheless, I've run out of words to type.
